Lahore to Jeddah Flights: Airlines, Flight Time and Booking Guide
Five airlines fly direct from Lahore to Jeddah: PIA, Saudia, Airblue, AirSial and Fly Jinnah. A direct flight takes about 5 and a half hours. Most travellers on this route are going for Umrah or heading back to work in Saudi Arabia, so seats fill fast around Ramadan, Eid and the end of school holidays.

Which airlines fly direct from Lahore to Jeddah?
| Airline | Type | Good to know |
| PIA | Full service | Long-running route, also flies Lahore to Madinah |
| Saudia | Full service | Saudi national airline |
| Airblue | Full service, fare bundles | Cheapest bundle may carry less checked baggage |
| AirSial | Full service | Checked bag included on its fares |
| Fly Jinnah | Low cost | Started Lahore to Jeddah in late 2024, bags cost extra on the basic fare |

How long is the flight from Lahore to Jeddah?
A direct Lahore to Jeddah flight takes about 5 and a half hours on average. Saudi Arabia is 2 hours behind Pakistan, so a flight that leaves Lahore at 10 am lands in Jeddah around 1:30 pm local time.
A one-stop flight through Dubai, Doha or another Gulf city takes longer, usually 7 hours or more with the wait. It is only worth it if direct seats are sold out or much more expensive.
Departing from Lahore airport
All Jeddah flights leave from Allama Iqbal International Airport (LHE).
- Reach the airport 3 hours before departure. Umrah season brings long queues at check-in and immigration.
- Check-in for international flights closes about 1 hour before departure. Late passengers can lose their seat.
- Keep your passport, visa printout and ticket in your hand, not packed in your bag.
- If you are going for Umrah and flying to Jeddah, change into Ihram before you board. There is little space to change on the plane.
Arriving at Jeddah airport
You land at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED). Check your ticket for the terminal, as it can differ by airline and season.
From the airport to Makkah, you can take the Haramain high-speed train, a taxi, or the transport booked through your Umrah operator. Most Umrah visas now come with transport already booked in Nusuk, so check that before paying for a taxi.
Baggage on Lahore to Jeddah flights
Your baggage depends on the airline and the fare you pick. Low-cost and basic fares may come with hand baggage only, usually 7 kg. Before you pay, check the checked-bag weight on the fare details.
Plan for the trip home too. Most travellers return with more than they took, so pick a fare with enough checked baggage for the way back.
Zamzam on the return flight
If you travel on an Umrah or Hajj visa, you can bring home one sealed 5-litre bottle of Zamzam.
- Buy the official bottle at Jeddah or Madinah airport
- Do not pack it inside your suitcase or carry it in the cabin
- Some airlines carry it free, others count it in your allowance, so ask yours
Documents for Lahore to Jeddah
The documents depend on why you are travelling.
| Travelling for | What you need |
| Umrah | Passport valid 6 months, Umrah visa through a licensed operator, meningitis vaccine certificate |
| Work | Passport, valid Saudi work visa or iqama, protector stamp from the Bureau of Emigration for new workers |
| Family visit or tourism | Passport, valid Saudi visit or tourist visa, return ticket |
Your name on the ticket must match your passport exactly. A small spelling mistake can stop you at check-in.
When to book Lahore to Jeddah flights
Book about 6 weeks before you fly for the best choice of fares. For Ramadan, book earlier than that.
- Busiest: August, when workers head back after the summer, plus Ramadan and the weeks around Eid.
- Quietest: March has the least demand on this route, so it is a good time if your dates are flexible.
- Ramadan 2027: expected to start in early February 2027. Lock in Umrah flights by December.
Fly into Jeddah, home from Madinah
If you are going for Umrah, think about an open-jaw ticket: Lahore to Jeddah, then Madinah to Lahore. You do Umrah first, visit Madinah after, and fly home without travelling back to Jeddah. Direct flights run between Madinah and Lahore, so this is easy to book on one ticket.
